Registration
The registration screen is open for any type of user or entity to register. One person can register for one direct dispenser, or a group of direct dispensers. Only certain fields are required on the registration screen. Red asterisks indicate required fields. Any field without a red asterisk is not required.
Required fields
Profile Details and Personal Information Section
- These sections are to collect the user The email and password are required and will be used as credentials for logging into to PMP Clearinghouse.
- First and Last name of the person registering is also required.
- The person who registers here is considered the administrator of the account.

- DEA Number and NPI number: These fields are NOT required. If you do not have a personal DEA or NPI you do not need to enter this information. No identifiers of any type are required to register for a PMP Clearinghouse account.
- Any entries into the field can be used to click the magnifying glass to auto-populate profile information. This may not be relevant to you or your entity.

Employer Information Section
- DEA Number and NCPDP number: These fields are NOT No identifiers of any type are required to register for a PMP Clearinghouse account. If you do not have one or the other of these fields you will not be prevented from submitting your registration. Leave it blank.
- Any entries into the field can be used to click the magnifying glass to auto-populate profile information. This may not be relevant to you or your entity. If it is not, leave it blank.
- Employer Information: Here you must enter the name of the entity you’ll be submitting for, whether it’s a direct dispenser or collection of direct dispensers. Via your account, you can submit for multiple entities.
- In addition to the employer name being required, address and phone number are required as well. See the below examples for what sort of information should be provided here.
- Example: Clinic with two direct dispensers. You can put the clinic information in the Name, Address, and Phone fields.
- Example: One direct dispenser. You can enter the individual direct dispenser’s name, address, and phone.
Data Submission and Submission Destinations Sections
- The Data Submission section may or may not apply to Direct Dispensers. If you do have software that will generate ASAP files for you and you want to deliver those files via an sFTP account, via an sFTP transaction or dragging and dropping to an sFTP directory, check the box for Enable SFTP Access.
- If you will be manually entering data you do not need to select anything in this section.
- Realtime access should not be checked as it is not available in the state of California.
- If you do wish to use SFTP, check the box and a username will be auto-populated and you will enter your desired password with the on-screen password requirements:
- In the Submission Destination section, you are selecting any and all states you wish to submit data for. Select the state of California; you only need to select additional states if you are also required to submit to those states. Note that states selected here do not relate to interstate data sharing. It only relates to whether you/your entity needs to submit to a given state.
Finalizing Registration
- Once you have filled out the entire form, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click submit:
- You’ll then be taken to the Account Registration screen:
- An important message is displayed at the top of the screen to notify you that an email verification link has been sent. You must click the link in the verification email to fully enable your account. An example of the email is below:
- The Continue button at the bottom of the screen will take you to the main login screen. Note that you will only be able to login if you have confirmed your email address.

- You can resend the confirmation email at any time at https://pmpclearinghouse.net by clicking the Didn’t receive confirmation instructions? Link at the bottom of the screen in the Help section:
- If you do not receive the email, you may need to whitelist the above email address or amazonses.com. Contact your IT support or your email provider for further assistance.
